Helping
Pregnant Women Quit Smoking
Smoking in pregnancy is dangerous for both the mother and the unborn
baby. Women who quit smoking before or during pregnancy reduce the
risk for adverse reproductive outcomes, including difficulties in
becoming pregnant, infertility, premature rupture of membranes,
preterm deliver, and low birth weight.
